If you plan to stay longer in Thailand….

First of all, the following is just a suggestion for your trip.

Trust us ; From our experience we suggest that you arrive directly to Chiang Rai through Bangkok. - why? After your flight to Bangkok, it is very easy an inexpensive to take a domestic flight to Chiang Rai followed by a one hour drive to our home.

From experience, we also know that your stay with us will be an opportunity to give you a precise idea of life in Thailand ( prices, life style, transportation) and to facilitate further travels in the country.

If you wish to prolong your stay in Thailand with a destination towards the beaches, southern islands, a circuit to Laos or elsewhere, we will be available to help you with your project. However we have two exceptions : first, the charms of the “pretty Thai girls” who are particularly “friendly” and numerous in the south, are legendary. Obviously, everyone must follow his own conscience, but we won’t help you in any way. Finally, we categorically refuse to participate in the mercantile voyeurism of the famous visits to "long neck" villages offered by most tour operators. If you like zoos, you'll find one very well supplied in Chiang Mai.

Your flight :

The choice of airline that will bring you to Bangkok is yours, but consider that there is a difference of 400 Euros for two people between a good company with a stopover (about. 600 Euros per person) and a good company without a stopover (800 Euros aprox.) ….

As for travelling from Bangkok to Chiang Raï on a domestic flight, it is easy, but contact us first before buying your ticket : some companies are very trustworthy and less expensive than others.

Health :

The quality of medical care in Thailand is well reputed, as well as the quality of food and hygiene. There is absolutely nothing to fear. However, in the summer one must be careful of mosquitoes in the early morning and evening. Do as the Thais : protect yourself and nothing will happen. The sprays sold there are very efficient and less expensive than in occidental countries . If your stay in Asia doesn’t exceed a few weeks, nothing should prevent you from taking a protective treatment.

Your bungalows are equipped with diffusers, very fun and efficient gadgets, and surprise… a mosquito net surrounds your bed!

security :

The North of Thailand has so little crime that it is a paradise compared to the South, no aggression, no theft. You will soon be happily surprised by the peaceful atmosphere.

food :

Everyone knows that Thai dishes are a marvel of taste and nutrition, and if you are interested, our kitchen is open! Our region, according to the seasons, produces pineapples, mangos, letches (that you can pick from the tree in June), and a lot of other fruits that you can taste freshly picked.

climate :

Tropical climat with two seasons :

Winter : from late october to march, is the « dry » season : the nights are cool, with an ideal daytime temperature of around 28°.
Summer : from april to october, is the « rainy season » (which is nothing compared to the torrential rains which one gets in the southern part of the country). It’s our favorite season : it rains systematically at night with one of two short showers during the daytime (excepting unusual conditions). The nature is luxuriant! Don’t bog yourself down with rain clothes or umbrellas ; we have some for your use.
